The state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Taraba Chapter, Comrade Peter Jediel has been kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday 7/2/2021 by an unknown gunman.

A family member who confirmed the incident said Mr. Peter was abducted in his house in Sunkani, Ardo kola local government area of the state at about 12:58 am.

According to his younger brother, Mr. Boniface Stephen up to the time of filing this report no demands were placed by the abductors.

“There no demands made and no even calls,” Stephen said.

Efforts to contact the Spokesperson of the Taraba State Police Command David Misal prove abortive.

It could be recalled that less than a month when the Chairman of Ardo Kola local council where the NLC Chairman is from, Hon. Salihu Dovo was kidnapped and killed by the yet to be identified gunmen in the state.

Meanwhile, Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barrister Danjuma Adamu said efforts are being intensified to secure the release of the NLC chairman.
