One of the miscreants operating in Jimeta-Yola, the Adamawa state capital under the group “Shila boys”  by using commercial tricycles called NAPEP was burnt to death by an angry mob for alleged robbing and stabbing a lady at Mubi roundabout in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area.
This brings to three jungle justice against the ‘Shila boys’ gang through mob attacks from January to date.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer Adamawa state command, DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje said the Shila member was burnt to death by angrily mobs for alleged robbing and stabbing a lady at Mubi roundabout in Jimeta.
DSP Nguroje said that the incident occurred on Saturday at about 7.00 p.m, adding that the corpse of the suspect has been evacuated by the Jimeta Police division.
“The lady (name withheld) shout for help and immediately, an angry mobs chase the three suspects, caught one of them and set fire on him.
“The other two gang members, however, escaped,’’ Nguroje said.
He said that the state command has swung into action to trace the two suspected criminals and the mobs.
Nguroje then warned the general public to desist from taken the law into their hands.
He said that the command was not happy about the shameless attitude of some parents, who were supporting their children found to be involved in criminal activities.
