Kidnappers on Tuesday night have attacked Greenfield University in Kaduna, killing security personnel of the institution and abducting 17 male students.

It was gathered that the bandits 17 male students were taken away by the attackers while the body of the security personnel was discovered on Wednesday.

Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident did not mention a number of abducted students.

Also, Kaduna state Police Public Relations Officer ASP Mohammed Jalige had confirmed the attack but said the exact number of students that were abducted from the school was yet to be known.

He said a roll call was being taken to ascertain the identity and number of the students that were abducted.

PPRO said when the abductors reached the university,” the police and the military moved to the school immediately after they got wind of the attack.”

Jalige however, promised that the police would update the public on the number of missing students as soon as it is confirmed.
