The kidnapped female Journalist in Adamawa who spent eight days in captivity has regained her Freedom Wednesday morning.

Mrs. Amra Ahmed Diska, a nursing mother and News Editor with Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Yola was kidnapped on Tuesday night 4th May 2021 at her residence in Yola.

The release of Amra has brought joy and happiness from her colleagues, family, and well-wishers who have been conducting prayers for her safe release since the day of the abduction.

The husband of the victim, Alhaji Ahmad Isa Mbamba broke the news around 1:32 am on Wednesday via ABC Yola Staff WhatsApp platform.

He wrote: “Alhamdulillah. Amra regained her freedom and reunited with her family. Worthy to note, she returned safely. Our sincere thanks to all colleagues for their show of concern and prayers.

It was not clear whether ransom was paid for her release.
