YOLA — Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reassured the citizens that the COVID-19 vaccine is safe devoid of any health implications.
The governor re-echoed this while speaking to Journalists at the Government House Yola on Thursday.
“People should avail themselves and take COVID-19 vaccine willingly, is not by force, but it will go a long way in curtailing the spread of the virus across the globe”.
“For those of us that have taken the first jab of the vaccine when the time came for the second round, we should come out and take the second dose because the vaccine is available”.
“Coronavirus is still around, and developed countries like Saudi Arabia had made mandatory for intending pilgrims to take COVID-19 vaccine before entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the pilgrimage”.
“People should continue to observe all COVID-19 vaccine protocols as the surest to safeguard ourselves from the disease; the government will ensure that hospitals are always ready to render all necessary medical attention to the index case,” Fintiri said.
The Governor also urged politicians and leaders to continue to shield their differences and put the interest of the nation first before any other interest so as to keep the country united and strengthen its unity.
He assured that government will ensure that the security situation in the state has improved for citizens to conduct their legitimate businesses without fear.
