YOLA — The 7th Adamawa State House of Assembly has passed 23 bills and 74 resolutions in the last two years.
Speaker Iya Abbas while presiding over the resumed plenary on Tuesday after months two months on the break as a result of a strike by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN).
“Out of the 23 bills enacted, 18 were duly assented to by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for good governance in the state.”
“The lawmakers introduced 41 bills and unanimously passed 23, while the remaining 21 are currently undergoing legislative processes, ” he said.
The speaker welcomed them to the new legislative year and urged them to redouble their effort to provide a robust representation to their teeming electorates.
