ABUJA — The police have arrested a certain Abdullahi Usman, a senior immigration officer, for his alleged role in the invasion of Mary Odili’s residence.

Weeks ago, an apartment belonging to a supreme court judge, Mary Odili was invaded by some security operatives in Abuja.

The group had stormed the house with a search warrant issued by a magistrate court in Abuja over allegations of illegal activities happening at the house.

However, the warrant presented by the security operatives is said to have the wrong address.

On November 11, the police paraded 14 persons in connection with the invasion.

Some of the paraded persons include; one Lawrence Ajodo, identified as a pseudo security agent; Stanley Nkwazema, identified as a journalist, and an Islamic scholar was also arrested over their involvement in the incident.

Frank Mba, police public relations officer, while parading the suspects, accused them of forging documents that were used in securing a search warrant.

Confirming the development to TheCable, Mba said all the suspects will be arraigned in court in Abuja this week.

“Yes. We’ve arrested him. He is an assistant superintendent of immigration, and he serves in Nasarawa command,” the police spokesman said.
