On Wednesday, 15th December, 2021, a sad news about the death of Nollywood actor, Kabiri Fubara was broken. This was revealed on his sister’s Instagram page with the handle @kalanne_fubara where she wrote,

“He was a warrior… Now he’s an angel in heaven. Rest on, my darling brother Karibi. We will only remember the good times.”
In another post, she grieved,
“One day at a time…a thousand memories each second. Reality sets in. God I’d God, but this heavenly angel status is difficult to understand

Nigerian celebrities and fans have since mourned his passing with individual eulogies.
‘La Femme Anjola’ director, Mildred Okwo wrote on Twitter:
“Karibi had character poise and quiet dignity.
Traits we need so much in our industry.
I truly love this picture because I spent a good part of the evening watching him and his many facial expressions and ohh he had them! God be with you.
Thanks for fighting the good fight.
Rest”

Nigerian entrepreneur, motivational speaker, former First Bank Chairman and executive producer of the film “God Calling”, Ibukun Awosika also expressed grief on her Instagram page as she wrote, KABIRI FUBARA GONE HOME TO THE LORD.
“An exceptional gentleman, a great actor, a delightful human being to know, above all, a sincere child of God whom I had the privilege to get to know very well during my role as executive producer of “God Calling” where he was our lead male actor. Kabiri had a gallant battle with cancer and despite his pain, he never lost his smile, his faith and his good nature. Grateful we can see you over and over again as we look at the legacy of your work and most of all, we will see you in heaven. Rest well in heaven my dear “aburo”.

Producer of the “Smart Money Woman” series, Arese Ugwu, mourned the late actor in her words,
“Such sad sad news… life can be so cruel. RIP Karibi Fubara.
Ours was a professional relationship but you were always so kind, so ready to work, such a team player, such a stand up guy with such an incredible talent. The world has been robbed of your light. Thank you for everything.
“My prayers are with your family and friends in this difficult time… May God give them the strength to deal with this loss.
Rest in Power King.”

The actor who was the husband to popular fashion entrepreneur, Yolanda Okereke had revealed last year December his battle with cancer, sharing a video of one of his therapy sessions.
He is known for his roles in the movies “God Calling” and “Smart Money Woman”.
