LAGOS — Nollywood actor and former BBNaija housemate, Gideon Okeke, has lamented on the current fuel scarcity bedevilling the country, as he recounts his ordeal with a black market fuel dealer who ‘fraud shamed’ him for haggling fuel price.
This comes at a time when the country is grappling with fuel scarcity caused by the importation of adulterated fuel.
Due to the gridlock, long queues at petrol stations, and excessive inflation of petrol products as a result of the ongoing scuffle for fuel in the country, most Nigerians have resorted to patronizing the black market.
Taking to his social media platform on Friday, the former Tinsel actor lamented on the cost of fuel in the black market, adding that the fuel dealer bragged about his business deals with internet fraudsters, otherwise known as Yahoo boys, thereby ‘fraud shaming’ him.
He wrote, “Dear friends, this country is in trouble. It’s bad enough that the black market sells one litre of fuel for 5k.
“Worse off, the fact that the black market dealer vehemently brags about ONLY selling to Yahoo boys. Because dem nor dey price market. Anything you tell dem, dem go pay!
“The guy wan shame me for not being unscrupulous. This is fraud shaming…or No? Nigeria’s time will come.”
