A man from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, identified simply as Luwizo has tied the knot with triplets in a colorful wedding ceremony.
Speaking on how he met the triplets, Luwizo said his intention was to marry only Natalie, whom he had met on social media.
“I fell in love with a girl named Natalie, we met on social media. She was incredibly beautiful, I couldn’t resist her beauty. After some time, we decided to meet, it wasn’t that easy because I was on a working trip.
“We finally met anyways. I missed her, she missed me and from there we decided to get married.”
During the final meeting at Natalie’s to formalize their union, Luwizo said he was shocked to meet three identical women.
“I met three girls with one face, I was very much surprised that I almost fainted. As much as I was dreaming, I asked, “amongst all of you, who is Natalie?” They told me I had met all of them on different days I visited.”
Unknown to him, he had met Natalie’s sisters, Nadege and Natasha whenever he visited her. He was always welcomed by one of the triplets. Subsequently, Nadege and Natasha fell in love with him too.
He continued, “I became confused as I had planned to marry Natalie but the most surprising thing is that I found out I couldn’t marry one of the girls and leave the two behind. So, I was obliged to marry all of them as they are triplets.”
The sisters, on their part, said they thought their future husbands would make them drift apart, terming the new turn of events as ‘a dream come true’.
Speaking on behalf of her sisters, Natalie said, “Today, we are very happy. As you can see, our dreams came true. We thought we would be separated by husbands but God heard our prayers.
“As Luwizo used to come by, we passed him on to whoever was around amongst us and she received him. He wasn’t able to differentiate us so we all ended up falling in love with him.
She further said they were at peace with marrying him because they were so close and inseparable.
“At first, when we told him he had to marry all of us, he was shocked. But because he had already fallen in love with all of us, nothing could stop our plans since we were also in love with him.
“Even though people consider it impossible for three women to share one husband, but to us, sharing everything has been our life since childhood.”
The 32-year-old groom said although his parents never approved of his decision and decided to not attend his wedding, he had no regret whatsoever going forward with it.
“You have to lose something in order to gain another. In addition, one has their preferences and their own way of doing things. So I’m happy to marry the triplets no matter what others think.
“My parents despised my decision and that’s why they didn’t attend my wedding. But all I can say is love has no limits,” he surmised.
The couple got married last month in Karehe, located in South Kivu, DR Congo.
