ILE-IFE — Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has donated a music studio to the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife.

The singer was present at the inauguration of the studio, which took place on Tuesday, March 15, and photos and videos of the ceremony were shared on the official Instagram page of Hypertek Digital, the singer’s music label.
In informing his followers on Instagram of the development, 2baba also revealed plans to build a similar studio at the Benue State University (BSU).
“Today, I just commissioned the multimillion # studio I built for the music department in OAU Ile-ife. Up next is Benue State University.”
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, in his welcome address, appreciated the singer.
Ogunbodede revealed that OAU now has the best recording studio in any Nigerian university, thanks to 2Baba.
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Annie Idibia, has knocked the media for only wanting to share negative news about her husband and musician, 2Baba.
According to the actress, the news of the donation didn’t trend in the media because it was good news.
She posited that if her husband had impregnated someone, everyone wouldn’t have stopped talking about it on the Internet.
Annie, reacting to a video by comedian, Efe Warriboy about the poor publicity the donation got, said, “If the news was ‘2face give person belle or na him give Cora belle’ e go trend die. True or false ego still trend. Everywhere go burst.”
She further added that the legacy was what mattered, and not whether the news trended or not.
