AWKA — Madam Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Ikemba Nnewi, Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and wife of the out-going governor of  Anambra State Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu Obiano, engaged in a fistfight at the inauguration ceremony of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as Anambra state Governor on Thursday, March 16.
It was gathered that the incident occurred immediately after Soludo took his oath of office.
The Punch reported that the reason for the clash is yet to be ascertained.
However, in its version of the report, The Nation stated that Obiano’s wife confronted Bianca, accusing her of not wanting her husband to be governor while calling her a bitch.
“You said we’re not going to be Governor, you bitch,” she said.
An enraged Bianca responded with a slap and in retaliation, Obiano’s wife held Bianca’s hair and dress. The women immediately engaged each other in a brawl.
There was a temporary commotion at the venue as guests ran helter-skelter before normalcy was restored and Obiano’s wife was moved out of the venue.
While the fight lasted, Obiano, Soludo, and Senator Uche Ekwunife among others were stunned.
After the fracas, Obiano left the inauguration venue immediately before Soludo’s speech.
