A Nigerian lady has disclosed that when she gets married, 20% of her salary will be given to her husband to support him.
In a tweet on Friday, March 18, the lady with the Twitter handle @A_Blackwoman said she came to that decision after seeing how men suffer in society to make a living.
She said that she felt sorry for men working hard out there as she added that she saw a mechanic trying to make ends meet and a man in his early 50s hawking vegetables under the sun.
Admitting that there is a lot of pressure on men, the lady revealed that she has decided to be giving 20% of her salary to her future husband as a way to support him, while 30% will go to the family’s account.
Her tweet read, “The pressure on these men. I have finally come to a conclusion that 20% of my salary would go to my husband as my support to his personal upkeep and 30% to our family’s account… Because Omo!
“A couple of hours outside my house and I can’t help but notice the mechanic sweating his life out, the conductor shouting, there’s this man (looking early 50’s) hawking palm/vegetable oil under this wicked sun o, I’m just seeing a lot, I feel for them.
“Then these cement trucks, there is another man who folded himself and is struggling to maybe catch a minute or two of good sleep on top cement, under the sun. My own man is blessed ahead, that man must not suffer o.”
