YOLA — Nineteen candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) under the APC 2022 Local Government Aspirant Forum in the just concluded Local Government polls in Adamawa have aligned with the political aspiration of APC Governorship aspirant Alhaji Mustapha Umar Madawaki, Otumba of Ekiti.

The candidates under the leadership of Hon. Rufai Ahmed while addressing Journalists on Wednesday in Yola, said the alignment was based on support and assistance rendered to them by the aspirants during the electioneering campaigns. ‘We recognize the overwhelming support and assistance rendered to us by Alhaji Mustapha Umar Madawaki, (Otumba of Ekiti), to this end, as a mark of our appreciation we humbly identify and align with his aspiration and political endeavors.

“We graciously express our profound gratitude to all stakeholders and diverse strata of leadership who in one way or the other contributed to our elections,” Ahmed said.

The forum described the local government elections in the state as a monumental charade and insult to the nobility of democratic tenets and insists that social justice remains the abiding justification for governance and politics. It, therefore, urged the leadership of APC to pursue its electoral goals with great enthusiasm, untiring industry, dogged determination, and work side by side with candidates in all elections.
