Ahead of the 2023 general elections and need to elect the right candidates into power, Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz alongside Peter Okoye of PSquare have devised a new technique to encourage Nigerian youths to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Taking to his social media pages, Falz announced an upcoming concert in respect of the 2023 election, tagged Youth Vote Count Mega Concert 2.0, slated for Saturday, June 11 at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
According to the 31-year-old social crusader, PVC or temporary voter’s registration slip will be the entry ticket, noting that PVC registration is ongoing—and would end on June 11—at the venue of the show for yet-to-register Nigerians to register and be able to attend the concert.
He wrote, “This Saturday, June 11. Come through with your PVC. If you haven’t registered yet, come and register at the venue on the day!! It’s a critical moment for us. Tell someone to tell someone, please. Prime entertainment meets civic responsibility!”
In a similar vein, Peter Okoye, Mr P as he is popularly known, also took to his social media pages to inform his friends and fans that he has instructed his security guards not to allow anyone without a Permanent Voters Card PVC into his residence and office.
“I have just instructed my security and my management that No one is allowed to visit my house or my office without showing their PVC! This also include my management team and entourage! No PVC! No Visits and Travels!…We must get it right this time and vote out bad leaders,” he wrote.
