YOLA — Wonders shall never end as 25-year-old man Jika John, an indigene of Michika Local Government Area Adamawa, now residing in Sabon Pegi of Wuro Chekke, Yola South LGA of Adamawa State dressed in women attire sneaked into one of the female hostels of College of Nursing and Midwifery Yola with the intent to steal Gas cylinders.
It was learned that on Monday 6th June 2022, the suspect was apprehended for alleged trespass into the College after a distress call.
The suspect who admitted committing the crime, while speaking with newsmen at the Adamawa State Police Command Headquarters, Yola said the plan was conceived with one of the female students on Sunday 5th June 2022 for him to perpetrate the act, the following day on Monday at the time all her roommates were out of the hostel.
He added that he disguises himself by wearing women’s clothes to enable him to have easy access to the hostel.
“But alas, I was apprehended by the security while on my way to the hostel around 7:30 to 8:00 pm,” he said.
OC Crack Squad, Adamawa State Police Command, CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, confirmed that the suspect was in the College to steal gas cylinders and dismissed and claimed that he was there to have sex with a lady.
