NewsDownpour Renders Inhabitants of Wuro Ngayadi In Madagali LGA Homeless

Heavy downpour on Wednesday night which lasted for more than four hours destroyed residential buildings, farmlands, livestock and other business premises in Wuro Ngayadi of Kirchinga Disrtict in the Madagali Local Government Area.

Reports from the area indicate that such a downpour was last witnessed in the area more than seventy years ago.

The report added that the affected households who are mainly farmers are now taking refuge in nearby villages.

One of the victims, an eighty-old man, Lawan Vengeri narrated that villagers had not experienced such downpour for decades, adding that victims are now salvaging from the disaster.

Speaking on the incident, the District Head of Kirchinga, Alhaji Abdulkadir Maina, Mai Borno Mubi called on government at all levels, Philanthropists and other organizations to come to the aid of the victims.

He said the victims are urgently in need of relief materials, urging them to consider the calamity as an act of God.
