Thieves allegedly stole more than N31 million from the office of the Financial Controller, Katsina State Government House.

This is the second time this year such an incident of money is missing from the Katsina State Government House.

Recall that in July 2022, Aminu Darma, a cashier at the office of the Secretary to the State Government House was allegedly shot and robbed of N61 million by gunmen in Katsina.

Similarly, in January 2020, no less than N16 million was stolen from the office of the former Secretary to the Government of Katsina State (SGS), Mustapha Inuwa.

Media aide to the Katsina State Governor, Al-Amin Isa who confirmed the incident said thieves have carted away millions of naira from the Katsina State Government House.

Isah, while speaking to Journalists on Thursday, did not disclose the amount stolen, however said some of the suspects were already being interrogated by the police.
