ENUGU — The former Councilor of Unadu ward, Igboeze South Local Government Area, Enugu state Nigeria has been shot dead.
Mr. Lucky Okechukwu Idoko who until his demise was the Youth Leader of the All Progressive Party and father of four was killed by unknown gunmen terrorizing the state and environs.
Idoko was shot dead in his community on Saturday while travelling on a commercial motorcycle known as okada while the motorcyclist conveying him escaped unhurt thus raising suspicions that his murder was planned assassination.
The worsening insecurity in the South East has become a major concern as Enugu state has witnessed an increase in deadly attacks this past weekend.
