Davido’s upcoming music concert tagged ‘Are We Africans Yet (A.W.A.Y) festival’ has been postponed till Saturday, 18 November 2023.
The singer’s management announced the postponement in an Instagram post yesterday, citing the loss of Davido’s three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, as the reason for the disappointing development.
“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023. It is necessary for Davido to spend time with his family and loved ones at this time,” the Instagram post read.
The management said all tickets already booked will be honoured for the new date.
The A.W.A.Y festival was initially scheduled to hold on 18 November 2022 at the 20,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
