AfricaNewsNigeriaAfrica Illustrious Award Set to Honour Africans across Diverse Works of Life

The Africa Illustrious Award is set to honour outstanding Africans in diverse works of life, in an even scheduled to hold early December, 2022. The Award reserved for those who are making an impact in their community was instituted about five years ago, as a meritorious recognition that seeks to balance stories across Africa by beaming its search light on the bright-side of Africa that is often underreported. Some of the award categories include; public and corporate leadership, philanthropy, community development, business, academia, technology invention/innovation, education, agriculture, sports and entrepreneurship. Beyond the more popular reports of communal, religious and ethnic wars, of disease, failing government, and weak institutions; there are people still, who are making impact across Africa, and they deserve to be identified and honoured, the organizers have said in a media chat.

Convened by My Media Africa, the Africa Illustrious Award is designed as part of My Media Africa’s effort to tell the African success stories in diverse works of life.

Since inception, organizers have deployed utmost prudence to carefully search, locate and select deserving Africans who are rewriting the ‘African narrative’ through hard work and excellence.

“The Africa Illustrious Award therefore aims at searching, discovering and recognizing highly distinguished Africans who have been outstanding and exceptional through the solutions they offer both in private and public service”, Dr. Arinze Madueke who is the publisher of my Media Africa and director of the organization said.

So far, the organizers have recognized and hosted Presidents, Governors and other top government executives across Africa. Diverse professionals; technocrats, captains of industries, tech innovators and inventors, have variously been honoured with the Africa Illustrious Award. Former Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan (GCFR), has received the Africa Illustrious Award on Peace and Governance. Professor Patrick Lumumba of Kenya, has been honoured for his invaluable contributions as Pan Africanist.
