“The moment you take off from Lagos Airport your skin changes” is one of the reactions on a TikTok video that showed how a woman in her 60’s who has spent only four months in the United Kingdom became unrecognisable.
In the before and after photos, the woman looked old and sickly before leaving Nigeria and appeared healthier and younger after getting away from all the suffering in Nigeria for four months.
The clip lends credence to the opinion by many Nigerians that the multidimensional poverty in Nigeria makes one age faster.
