The Niger state Police Command has arrested informants and food suppliers to bandits in Paikoro local government council.

Also arrested is suspected ritualist, Abdulrahman Woru, a citizen of Benin Republic residing in the Banana area of Borgu Local Government Council. Mr. Woru was allegedly found to have a human skull.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement in Minna added that two suspected kidnappers were arrested and about N2.1 million were seized from them at Lambata.

“Operatives attached to Gawu-Babangida Division arrested one Ibrahim Ali (AKA Bajala), 25, from Gwalo village in Paikoro Local Government Council in his hideout. They also caught a suspected informant and food supplier working for the arrested kidnappers.

“The alleged informant confessed to the crime, admitting that he was always looking out for possible targets for the kidnappers, in addition to helping the hoodlums purchase foodstuffs, such as rice, beans, millet, cigarettes, and alcohol of all sorts.

“The suspect was arrested with some quantity of raw rice and beans, which he said he wanted to take to the kidnappers’ hideout in Gwalo forest before their arrest,” the statement added.
