Folarin Falana, the Nigeria rapper better known by his stage name Falz, has faulted the electoral process that produced Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the governor-elect of Lagos state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu was declared the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Lagos state on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
A few hours after the announcement, the governor, who ran for the office under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, made an appreciation post on Twitter; thanking Lagosians for re-electing him into office.
Reacting to Sanwo-Olu’s post, Falz said the governor masterminded the electoral irregularities witnessed in the state on Saturday to secure his re-election.
In Falz’s words, “You were not re-elected. You selected yourself.”
You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves https://t.co/9CQL4wDyKZ
