The eighth edition of the Nigerian Idol will kick off on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

According to Tejumola, the winner of the show will be rewarded with a grand prize of N100 million, including N35 million as a cash prize.

She added that the show will be televised across three Africa Magic channels: Urban, Showcase and Family, and a pop-up channel, Channel 199, at 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.

The West African Pilot News reports that the audition for this year’s show was held between January 14 and 28, 2023.
