The Independence National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Thursday issued a Certificate of Return to the Enugu State Governor-elect, Mr. Peter Mba, the Deputy Governor-elect, Mr. Ifeanyi Ossai, and State House of Assembly Members-elect at the Bon Platinum Hotel, Enugu.
Speaking at the event, the Governor-elect called on other gubernatorial candidates in the 2023 elections to join hands with his administration for the overall interest of the state.
“Today’s handing over of certificate of return to us should end all atrocious politicking; it is time to move on,”
“History will never forgive us if at a time like this when we should be pursuing the interest and development of our dear Enugu state we are still immersed in the pursuit of political games and cleavages; this is why I extend my hands of fellowship to all my brothers with whom I ran the race.”
“I cannot do the work alone hence I call on all of us to come on board and take our state to an enviable and desirable place.”
Mbah promised, “This victory is for the people of Enugu State who made it possible through their resilience and confidence in our mission and vision for them. I will not let you down; I will work and deliver efficiently with all the fiber of my being. It is a new dawn. Tomorrow is here.”
