Twitter’s blue bird logo has been changed to the doge meme of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.
This is one of the changes introduced to the micro-blogging site since the takeover of the company by world billionaire Elon Musk.
Musk bought Twitter on October 27, 2022, for $44 billion and has since slashed the workforce, introduced paid-for accounts and reinstated banned users including former United States president Donald Trump.
Confirming the latest change, Musk posted a meme about the change.

He then followed that tweet up with a screenshot of an old exchange he had with a Twitter user about the change.

Checks by The West African Pilot News, however, showed that this logo change is only visible on the web version of Twitter and not on the Twitter app.
Musk’s decision to change the classic bird logo to a shiba inu dog, whether permanent or a short-lived joke, was welcomed with amusement by Twitter users.

I hope it's a temporary announcement, not a permanent one, so Twitter doesn't turn from tweeting to barking pic.twitter.com/5L3w7A2mcZ
