The training for Enumerators ad-hoc Staff for the conduct 2023 Population and Housing census scheduled for Thursday 13th April 2023 has been postponed indefinitely.
Mrs. Evelyn Arinola Olanipekun, Director of the National Population Commission, (NPC) announced this in a statement, ordering that invitations sent to functionaries be withdrawn and awaiting further directives.
The statement reads in part “I am directed to inform you that, the sequel to emerging issues, concerning the upcoming LGA training, that was scheduled to commence on Thursday 13th April 2023, all arrangements should be put on hold till further notice.”
The training was earlier rescheduled from the 6th of March to the 13th of March 2023.
Meanwhile, the Chairman Census Committee, Dr Ipalibo Harry assured that the postponement would not affect the conduct of the Population and Housing Census scheduled to hold from May 3 to May 7.
He said that the commission was ready to conduct a credible census, adding that they had already concluded the training of Quality Data Managers and others.
The census committee chairman said a new date for the training of the enumerators and supervisors would be communicated as soon as possible.
