Hilda Baci has encouraged Damilola Adeparusi, who is on a quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, to keep going to the very end.
Motivated by Hilda Baci’s unofficial 100-hour feat last month, Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, set up her kitchen in Ilupeju, Ekiti on Friday to cook for 120 hours.
Her decision to challenge Hilda Baci’s yet-to-be-verified record has, however, been controversial. While many Nigerians have declared their support for her, others are critical of her.
While the debate is ongoing, Hilda Baci, undeterred by the supposed rivalry, penned down kind words to Dammy.
Her tweet yesterday reads: “The beauty of dreams is that they are unique to each individual. Dami, your boldness to take on a cooking challenge shows that passion knows no limits. Embrace the journey, learn from every experience, and inspire others with your unwavering spirit.”
As of the time of publishing this report, Dammy has cooked for 80 hours and she will continue cooking till tomorrow (Tuesday).
