Bayegun Oluwatoyin, the comedian and actor better known as Woli Arole, has joined the ongoing trend of breaking a Guinness World Record motivated by Chef Hilda Baci’s record-breaking cooking marathon last month.
On Monday, the comedian-turned-clergyman announced on his social media pages that he plans to break the Guinness World Record for the longest prayer session.
“Pray-a-thon, 5,000 hours. It is doable. Anticipate”, Arole captioned a flier of the proposed pray-a-thon, tagging the Guinness World Records and some ministers.

In a follow-up post, he noted that the date and venue for the pray-a-thon have been set, adding that it is “beyond setting a record” but “to stir the heart of men to pray.”
His post reads, “The date is set. The venue is set. The Lord I any strength. Happy that prayer is trending. Jesus is trending. Update will be coming soon. 5,000 hours of prayer. This is beyond Guinness’s world record. This is revival.”
He added: “This is beyond setting a record. This is to stir the heart of men to pray. We pray until something happens. We are set!”
Arole’s 5,000hrs is equivalent to 208 days and 8 hours.
