Nigerian singer Davido has deleted a video he shared on his Twitter page on Friday which brought him under heavy criticism from the Muslim community.

The video was a snippet of the visuals for “Jaye Lo”, the first single by his newly-signed artist, Logos Olori.

The extract shows Muslims observing prayers outside a mosque while Lagos Olori sits on the roof of the mosque singing.

After Davido tweeted to promote the song, several Muslims condemned the video and demanded for it be taken down.

Davido, who was silent in the face of the criticisms at first, eventually deleted the tweet containing the video.

And the Muslim community has commended him for doing so, but they are still demanding an apology from the singer.

Meanwhile, though the singer deleted the video, the video has been shared by others.
