The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will deliver judgment on petitions challenging the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election on Wednesday, September 6.
Tinubu’s election is being challenged in court by his major rivals in the election Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and a less-known political party, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The judgment date was announced in a press statement by the chief registrar of the Court of Appeal, Umar M. Bangari on Monday.
Bangari said the court proceedings will be open to live broadcast by interested television stations to promote transparency and openness.
