Three bandits have been neutralized by troops of the 6 Brigade of the Nigeria Army in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State during special operation that took place in Chibi Village, of Karim-Lamido local government area of the state

Brigade Commander, Brigadier Gen. Kingsley Uwa disclosed that arms and ammunition were also recovered during the operation, and assured residents of the state of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security.

According to him, the troops acted based on intelligence reports which led to the elimination of the criminals and the retrieval of crucial items.

Among the seized items were two AK-47 rifles, a motorcycle utilized by the criminal elements, and a cache containing 40 rounds of 7.62 MM special ammunition.

Brigadier Gen. Uwa commended the troops for their bravery and efficiency in executing the mission and emphasized the military’s commitment to eradicating criminal elements in Taraba.
