Suspected terrorists have killed two people in Dabna village of Hong local government area of Adamawa state and properties worth thousands of naira were set ablaze by suspected terrorists.

Also, three people were killed in a communal clash in Numan and Demsa local government areas of the state.

Dabna, is a village to close Sambisa forest in Borno state, den of Borno state of Borno State come under heavy attack in July 2021 and April 2023 in which many people were killed and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

In a telephone interview, a resident of the area, Mr Simon Dabna the terrorists who came in a vehicle attack the community in the evening when Muslims were preparing to break their Ramada fast.

According to him, some residents have started relocating from the town due to incessant attack on the community by terrorists.

Mr Simon Dabna who is also the Director Operational Northeast of Hunters Association in Nigeria vowed to eliminate their terrorists in their enclave within two months if given the mandate by authorities concern.

He attributed the field day enjoyed by terrorists in carrying out their nefarious activities to lack of logistics and solicit support from government in that regard.

Mr Dabna stated that the two operational vehicles attached to him are grounded and accused some residents as collaborators who harbour the terrorists.

Commenting on the development, the District Head of Dugwaba, Mr Simon Yakubu who confirmed the incident called on people to intensify prayers to avert future occurrence considering the closeness of the area with Sambisa forest.

While commending the vigilante and hunters for their effort in sustaining peace in the area called on the residents to always report suspicious movement to security agencies.

When contacted the State command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje only military will talk on issues of Boko Haram.

Efforts to contact the APRO 23rd Brigade Yola, proved abortive.

In a similar development, the Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed that three people were killed in a communal clash in the Numan and Demsa local government areas of the state.

The violence erupted in the Selti and Kpasham communities, leading to the loss of three lives, according to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje.

He said the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, led a team of operatives to the troubled spots to restore law and order, assuring that the investigation was still ongoing to identify and capture the culprits and their accomplices.

The CP urged the residents to steer clear of violence and conduct their daily activities peacefully without any fear.

The police command also implored the public to report any suspicious individuals to the nearest police station or emergency numbers – 08089671313 and 08034037570.
