The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 58 suspected criminals and recovered a Toyota jeep, bus, and 2 AK-47 rifles.

The new commissioner of Police in Adamawa, CP Morris Dankombo disclosed this today (Tuesday) during a press conference at the state police headquarters in Yola while giving his four-week scorecard of stewardship in the state since assumption into office.

“During the period forty shilla boys, 11 kidnappers, and 7 armed robbery suspects were arrested. In all a total of 58 suspects have been arrested,” he said.

CP Dankombo said exhibits recovered include one Toyota Prado Jeep, one Hummer bus, two AK-47s with twenty-five rounds of live ammunition, N10, 690, leather containing charms and rings, one power bank, and two GSM handsets.

According to CP Dankombo, after his resumption, he organized a coordinated onslaught against criminals making life hot and difficult for them.

“When I took over the affairs of the command on the 14th of February 2024, I made a promise to the good people of this state that I would fight crime and criminality to the barest minimum to ensure that the remnants of criminal elements have been flushed out of the state.
