The Anambra South Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, has concluded plans to host the APC colloquium and mega empowerment rally on Friday, March 22nd, and Saturday March 23rd, 2024. The event is divided into two phases for the two days will involve debates, and considerations around the subject matter of Igbo marginalisation, for the first day. The keynote speaker for the event is Prof. Charles Esimone, the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The theme of the colloquium is “De-marginalization of the South East and Integration to National Politics.” Prof. Esimone is expected to do justice to this critical question of Southeast marginalization within the context of national politics. This conversation is billed to be held at the Anaedo Hall Nnewi, in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State. This is a bold step at mainstreaming conversations around various claims of marginalisation of the Southeast.

This event expected to attract some of the biggest stakeholders in APC within and outside the Southeast, has as its Special Guest the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is also expected to grace the event as the Chairman of the occasion. Similarly, the two APC governors in the Southeast; Governor Hope Uzodimma and Francis Nwifuru, are expected at the event. Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is the Chairman of the Southeast Governors’ Forum, is expected at the event as a guest of honour. Also, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State is expected as a guest of honour at the event.

On Saturday, March 23rd, the occasion is billed to move to the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium in Nnewi where the mega empowerment will take place. According to Senator Ubah, empowerment is at a scale that has never been seen before.
