Following the killing of 17 soldiers in the Delta State community, Service chiefs, on Wednesday appeared before the Senate Joint Committee comprising Army, Navy, Defence, and Airforce committees over the investigation into the killings.
Recall that last Thursday some military personnel who were on a peacekeeping mission in the state were ambushed and murdered in the Okuama community in the Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The Chairman of the joint committee, Ahmed Lawan, disclosed that due to the matter’s sensitivity, the investigative hearing will be held behind closed doors.
