The Paramount Ruler of Lunguda Kingdom in Adamawa State, Kwandi Nuguraya, HRH, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, has described culture as an embodiment of peace that promotes development in all strata of life.
Kuruhaye Dansanda asserted the 2nd edition of the Lunguda traditional wrestling competition and cultural display held in Guyuk, charged people of the kingdom to sustain their cultural heritage.

 

The Monarch noted that culture promotes peaceful coexistence and enhances family values and economic development, and thanked the youths for exhibiting maturity, understanding, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Kwandi Nuguraya expressed concern over the current hardship and economic challenges facing the citizens, stressing that it requires prayers for the Nation to overcome it.
He thanked the Governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for encouraging peaceful coexistence.

Eleven Districts from Guyuk Local Government took part in the festival with Chikila District emerging in the First position, followed by Banjiram District which came second.
Among the First-class Chiefs that grace the occasion include Murum Mbula Alhamdu Gladson Teneke and Amna Shelleng Abdullah Isa Dashong.
