The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’ikamatis Sunnah Adamawa state under its Orphans Care Committee has distributed bags of rice, wrappers cloths among others as Sallah baskets to 2,500 orphans in the state.

Speaking at the event which was held at Federal College of Education FCE Yola, the National Chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau stressed the need for wealthy Muslims to assist the orphans and needy in society.

Sheikh Lau cautioned vulnerable Muslims to desist from the act of begging on the streets as it is prohibited in Islam, adding that Almighty Allah has mandated wealthy Muslims to assist the orphans.

The National Chairman of JIBWIS announced that the State chapter of the organization will collaborate with Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola to train orphans on various entrepreneurship skills so they to be self-reliant and contribute to the economic growth of the country.

He saluted the orphan’s care committee of Adamawa state for working tirelessly towards the success of the program and urged beneficiaries to make good use of the items.

Sheikh Lau expressed appreciation to those who contributed in whatever form to the success of distribution and prayed to Almighty Allah to reward them abundantly.

Also speaking, the state chairman of the JIBWIS Orphan Care committee, Doctor Bashir Imam Aliyu Hong said beneficiaries were transparently selected and advised caregivers of orphans not to temper with their inheritance.

In his lecture at the event, Dr Usman Santuraki Kumo who spoke extensively on the benefits and rewards of assisting the orphans, urged Muslims to cultivate the habit of supporting the orphans.

Some of the beneficiaries, Yukubu Abubakar and Khadija Aliyu, expressed appreciation to the organization for assisting them and prayed to the Almighty to reward them abundantly.
