Last weekend, the Ancient kingdom of Uvuru in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State was agog when prominent sons and daughters of the town, friends, associates, both political, business and social gathered to bid farewell to a prominent member of the kingdom, Chief Richard Ugwonna Okoro (The Onyishi of Amenugu), who passed away recently.

The massive influx of dignitaries from all walks of life in solidarity with Mr Larry Popo, his seven brothers including a Catholic Priest and a sister will be the community talking point for some time to come.

Distinguished Senators, including Senator Godfrey Utazi, who represented Enugu North Senatorial District in the 8th and 9th Nigerian Senate, members of the House of Assembly, clergy men, chairman of Uzo- Uwani LGA, commissioners, serving Military General, including Brig. General Julius Ogbobe and captains of industry were all on ground to pay their  last respect to the late Onyishi Amenugu.

The carnival-like funeral will remain indelible in the minds of the host community and visitors alike especially for the kind of funfair hosted by the family of the deceased that lasted for many days.
