A Staff of the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), two Vigilante members, and five others are now assisting the police in their investigation of looting a government warehouse located in Jimeta, the twin capital of Adamawa State.
The Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje in a statement said the arrest followed reliable information received about the organized crime coordinated by the syndicate including four women.
According to the statement 98 bags of Maize, Millet, and Guinea corn, are amongst other items recovered from the suspects after investigations.
The statement reads in part: “On 12/7/2024, the Command Operatives attached to Divisional Police Headquarters, Jimeta, in sustained effort foiled an organized Crime to Vandalizing and stealing from the Government/Public warehouse by some dishonest staff of Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA).
“The outcome of these successes follows reliable information received about the organized crime, coordinated to cause wrongful gain to themselves by dishonestly stealing from the warehouse and blamed hoodlums.
“The command upon receiving the information designed a security ring around the Warehouse situated at Limawa Ward, Yola North local government, and luckily arrested eight suspects including staff of the Agency and some Vigilante members.

(1) Abubakar Dahiru 22years a Vigilante member
(2) Mustapha Suleiman 30years, Vigilante member
(3) Muhammed Umar Misa 53years, Staff of ADSEMA
(4) Fatsuma Sule, 40years, Resident of Limawa Ward, Yola North
(5) Fatima Mohammed,49years, resident of Limawa Ward, Yola North
(6) Hussena ADAMU, 24 years, resident of Limawa Ward, Yola North
(7) Emmanuel Anthony, 32years, resident of Limawa Ward and
(8) Azumi Anthony, 50 years old, a resident of Limawa Ward, Yola North local government Area, was arrested a few hours after they implemented the organized crime.
The statement stated that the Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris calls on the populace to always inform the police of people with questionable character, and the whereabouts of Criminals and their hideouts.
He assured the Government and good people of Adamawa state of the sustained effort of the police in protecting the lives and property of the citizens.
