Commissioner of Police, Abia State Police Command, Danladi Isa has reiterated that a Special Monitoring Team has been established to oversee and evaluate the activities of officers on duty.
He disclosed this on Thursday, during a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Team Commanders at the Officers’ Mess, Umuahia.
CP Isa warned against unprofessional conduct, including extortion and incivility toward members of the public.
“The team would apprehend any officer who engaged in misconduct or tarnished the image of the Abia State Police Command,” he said.
CP Isa stressed the need to prioritize the safety of residents before, during, and after the festivities and emphasized the importance of officers being proactive and vigilant in ensuring the implementation of security strategies during this Yuletide season.
During the meeting, officers made meaningful contributions and suggestions on how to ensure the safety and security of Abia State, focusing on accountability and proper supervision of officers.
