The State Commander of Nigerian Forest Security Service NFSS, Anambra State Command, Mr. Destiny Emmanuel Jonas, has commended the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for launching the new security outfit, Agunechemba, and for flagging off Operation udo ga achi, to contain the spiraling insecurity in the state.
Applauding the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Soludo, the NFSS Commander, Mr. Destiny, said that the new security outfit speaks to the governor’s commitment to the welfare of Ndi Anambra. According to the NFSS Commander, security and order are critical in achieving stability and cohesion, and that is why the governor had prioritized both from inception.
Describing the new outfit, Destiny, in a statement signed by the NFSS State Public Relations Officer, Chibuikem Nneke, said that “Operation Udo Ga Achi launched by the Governor of Anambra State, is a proactive and innovative approach to combating crime, insecurity and fostering sustainable peace and development in Anambra State”.
“Security is everybody’s business, as such the commander restates the readiness of the gallant Officers of Nigerian Forest Security Service, Anambra State Command, in partnering with other security apparatuses in the state to combat crime and criminality within the forested region and create an environment where people can live, work, invest, enjoy life and thrive without fear”, a part of the statement reads. Mr. Destiny also called on the indigenes, residents and visitors of the State to support the Governor and the security operatives in the fight against insecurity, social vices, crime, and criminality.
The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Saturday launched Operation Udo ga achi, and inaugurated the Agunechemba security outfit, in response to the troubling security situation in Anambra State.
