The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance – APGA, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, has been conferred with an Award of Excellent Leadership by the Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka.
The 2025 Excellent Leadership Award of the Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese, was held over the weekend at the St Patrick’s Cathedral Awka, and was well attended as many officials of the Anambra State Government were in attendance for both the National Chairman of APGA, Ezeokenwa, and Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, who was similarly conferred with an Excellent Leadership Award.
His Lordship, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka, commenced the event by celebrating a Holy Mass to commemorate the beginning of the Laity Council week, at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka.
Speaking after the award was conferred on recipients, the Chairman of the Laity Council of Nigeria, Sir Joseph Igwebuike, commended Governor Soludo and assured him of further support by the Council.
Reacting, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa thanked the Laity Council of Nigeria for the honour and assured of his continued dedication to the public good through transformative leadership.
Ebuka graduated with a second-class upper-division degree in Political Science from the University of Calabar in Nigeria. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master's Degree in Political Science with a specialization in Government and Development Studies from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Nigeria. His academic background and professional experience have equipped him with a deep understanding of political dynamics and governance issues.
