Police operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested a 24 years old male native doctor, Ejike Emmanuel Chinonso for possession of firearms.
In a press briefing on Sunday, 18th of May, 2025, the Enugu Police Public Relations Officer SP Daniel Ndukwe disclosed that Mr. Ejike Emmanuel Chinonso, was arrested by operatives attached to the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad on May 15, 2025, at about 10:30 a.m.
“Two firearms, one revolver pistol, one expended and two live rounds of ammunition were recovered from his shrine at Ugwuochie-Iwollo in Ezeagu Local Government Area, of the state.”
“Other items recovered include one locally made pistol, one live .38 special calibre ammunition, and one live cartridge.”
The police recovered the arms during a raid in the native doctor’s shrine; the native doctor also confessed to be a member of the Black Axe confraternity.
The suspect will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
