The affected states include Adamawa, Borno, Gombe and Yobe.

According to Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) the power outage will be from 10th to 14th June, 2025, due to major works that will be undertaken by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on the Jos-Gombe 330kv and Jos-Bauchi-Gombe 132kv.

However, Electricity Company is yet to restore power supply to the affected states as at the time of filling in this report, and the image maker of the Yola Electricity Distribution Company refuse to give any information regarding the delay in the restoration of power supply as it has gone beyond their deadline given.

Some businesses owners like welders, barbers, grinding machines, water vendors and soft drinks sellers among others worst affected with majority cannot continue with their businesses while some have now resorted to the use of generators to keep their businesses afloat.

The development had also made places for recharging of handsets to be jam-packed with people.
