An armed robbery suspect who was on the wanted list of the Adamawa State Police Command for Armed Robbery activities, terrorizing the Numan-Gombe Road and its environs, has been arrested.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Adamawa State Command Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in a statement, said the arrest of one Zephaniah Alfred (22 years) followed a complaint made by one Ibrahim Maikano that the suspect threatened to kill him.

He said: “On the strength of that, Operatives of the command attached to Numan Divisional police headquarters, led by the DPO, apprehended the suspect Zephaniah Alfred, 29years, who was on the wanted list of the command for Armed Robbery activities, terrorizing Numan-Gombe Road and its environs.

“Items recovered from the house and premises of the suspect include One (1) locally made pistol, Two (2) AK-47 live ammunitions, One (1) pistol live ammunition, One (1) live cartridge, A pair of military camouflage uniform, Four (4) military camouflage caps, Two (2) military camouflage T-shirts and (1) black torch light”.

The PPRO said the suspect will be prosecuted as soon as the investigation is completed.

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, stated that the command is committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state, while working in synergy with the Brigade Commander of the 23 Military Brigade, Yola, to unravel the activities that concern the complainant and the good people of Zangun.
