A condemned inmate, Abba Hassan, on 31st October, 2025, has escaped from the Maximum Security Custodial Centre, Potiskum, Yobe State.
According to a statement by the Yobe State Police Command spokesman, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, the escapee is an indigene of Maiduguri, Borno State.
“Members of the public, security agencies, transport operators, community leaders, and vigilante groups within Yobe State and neighbouring states are hereby advised to be vigilant and report any sighting or information that may lead to his location and prompt rearrest.
“Do not attempt to confront or apprehend him on your own.
“For your safety, immediately report to the nearest Police Station, nearest Correctional Service facility, or call the following emergency numbers (08038452982),” the statement said.
