How many times must I fall from my toe against your feet
Before I count my teeth with my tongue, Mr. Despot?
My expectations such as are your countrymen’s respite,
How many declining expectations on account of fiat?
We winged our dreams in great heights to herald our hopes,
We must now jettison all aspirations to accommodate fear,
Where freedom has lost all responsibility to bear,
Whose aspiration inspires such thuggery, succumb to your dopes?
Many of us who must bear your guilt never knew their idol,
And who among us do you love like your own children?
Who among them, these floor mats, are your brethren?
You forget your promise, O coward, to be an idol!
Alas, this weary world can see through your machinations–
Your brutalities; your blunders will spell death’s union
With your kind, charlatans at their last communion
Who at the confessional absolves our sins, our shame.
