Gallant officers of Nigeria Police Force attached to Girei Division, Adamawa State Command has apprehended a 35-year-old Dahiru Shuaibu a resident of Sabon gari Sangere in Gerei Local Government Area for allegedly raping of a 10-year-old girl.
A statement by the DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State Command said the command will ensure that the victim gets all medical attention and justice that is required.
“Residents should report any suspicious persons or activities around their neighbourhoods to the nearest Police Division or report the same through any of the Police Command Control numbers 08089671313, 08107364974, 08053872326”. The statement added.
Meanwhile, the Adamawa Police Command has deployed a proactive mechanism for intelligence led-policing and crime-fighting measures to beef up security across the state to protect women and children from sexual harassment.
A statement by the DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Command’s spokesman said Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adeyanju, FDC, equally affirms the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives and properties and forestall any act that may likely cause a security breach. The statement read in part” the Command is also working in close synergy with sister security agencies in its ongoing effort to strengthing security in the state”.
